True Prosperity with The Lord

When we say prosperity, what do we normally think about it ? To those people who do not understand the true meaning of prosperity, it is normally being based on the number of house owned, number of cars owned, number of stocks shared in the stock market and the number of accounts in the bank.

Well did you know that prosperity is not only based on financial stability of our life? Prosperous people should experience the following in order to say he is indeed prosperous.

  • Financial Prosperity
  • Physical Prosperity
  • Spiritual Prosperity ( Most important )

Above mentioned prosperity shall be experienced all together in order to have a true prosperity with the Lord, those three cannot be separated with each other.

I can’t agree that a person is prosperous, if he only get two hours of sleep because of workload, even the income is great and beyond average, but if the body is suffering, I don’t think it could be considered as prosperity or blessing. Lord’s prosperity or blessing could be given to his children if we could only follow  Mathew 6:33

“ But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “.

The Lord can provide passive income, an income streams were not much work is needed to continuously receive that income. All we need to do is to believe on Lord’s provision and claim that we can receive it if we follow his instruction unto us.

You may consider my suggestion on How to Mature as Christian and learn to be content on what you have. We can consider a person as prosperous if he can get all the “necessities in life” and not the “wants in life”.

Financial prosperity is when we can buy what we need at anytime we want it.Again it is only “what we need” and not “what we want”. Physical prosperity is when we can do things in our life, such as walking, singing travelling etc. and we are not experiencing fatigue or sickness brought by too much work or stress in thinking. When we are not stress and have time for relaxation and fun. Spiritual prosperity is if we have time dedicated for the Lord for praise and worship and time to commune with the Lord. That is a specific time and not just a 10 minutes before sleeping.

I might not have all this one as of this writing, but I know the Lord is changing my life little by little, and soon I will be given all this things.

Always remember,

Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Be Blessed, if you have not yet received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your start from now on. God Bless you.

Suggestion on How to Mature as Christian

Image credit : By Aurelio Asiain

How to Grow / Mature as Christian? As a Christian you may ask, how can I grow? You may start acting through the suggestion below.

Pray Always

“Pray always.” (1 Thes. 5,17) – We need to pray to increase our faith; the essence of Christianity is having a relationship with the Lord. In every relation, continued communication will always lead to a very good relationship. Always commune with God, talk to Him through prayer.

Learn the Words of God.

Like plants, Christian needs water. Water is the words of God that we could hear from Preaching, Bible Study and Fellowship with fellow Christians. We need the words of God in order to grow. If any of you lack wisdom in understanding the words of God. You should ask God.

James 1:5 – 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Obey the Lord

Christians need to know how to surrender everything, and obedience is the key on how to start surrendering everything. When I say everything, it means all, no reservations. It includes time and financial matters.

1 Samuel 15:22 – But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Be a Giver

Will there be a tree without a seed planted in the soil? Believe that everything is from the Lord. You are only a stewards of those earthly things. Support your ministry by giving what is due to the Lord’s Ministry. Give your tithes to support the Ministry of the Lord, here on Earth. But always remember, be a cheerful giver, for it is useless to give if you are not happy for what you are doing. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. For God loves a cheerful giver.

Don’t think that Christianity only means money, money is being used to support God’s ministry. Aside from financial, God needs your availability and talent for his Kingdom. You need to provide your time for the Lord.

Why Do Christian Workers BURN OUT ?

I am just wondering, why do workers of Christ “Burn Out“ ? It is probable that the objective is wrong. Deacons, Elders, Asst Pastors, Pastors, Members, we are all humans. Humans have limits and human could also be tired at some time.

What should be the objective of a Christian Worker ?

Christian worker should always remember that we need to give it all to our Father and let the Holy Spirit teach us on what to do. If we keep on meeting our church objectives and forgetting about our own spiritual life, we might be leading to a path of “Churchunity” and not “Christianity”.

Leaders always think about what is good for the flocks. But it is sad to know that sometimes, obligation and spiritual life of own family is being left behind. Leaders needs to understand that without his family in Ministry, it will be hard to move and will later lead to “Burn Out“.

Our own family could be our co-workers in Christ or could be one of the greatest opposition in our Ministry. And I prefer the first.

As Leaders, if we feel we have too much burdens in our shoulder, give it all to God.

Let me remind Jethro’s advise to Moses

Exodus 18:17-23 Jethro advises Moses to delegate the job of settling disputes.

So Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you do is not good. Both you and these people who are with you will surely wear yourselves out. For this thing is too much for you; you are not able to perform it by yourself. Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.”

Jethro knows that Moses might be wear out when He say “….. will surely wear yourselves out….”.

If you feel it is too heavy for you, learn to trust others and let God works in their life. No man is an Island.
